The Unsolved Kidnapping of Carrie Lawson--Missing from Alabama with guest reader Kristin Minter

In September 1991, 25-year-old attorney Carolyn “Carrie” Lawson was living the life she had worked so hard to build—newly married, just admitted to the bar, and settling into her first home in Jasper, Alabama. But one late-night phone call changed everything. A masked gunman abducted Carrie from her driveway, and within hours, her family received a ransom demand. The money was paid—but Carrie was never returned. More than three decades later, her abduction remains one of Alabama’s most haunting unsolved kidnappings. This episode examines the disappearance of Carrie Lawson, the unanswered questions surrounding her case, and the devastating impact on her family and community. 📖 Featuring an original poem written in Carrie Lawson's honor, read by actress Kristin Minter (Home Alone, ER, Ray Donovan). ✨ She Goes By Jane is a true crime podcast about missing women and unidentified women.
