The Original Sugar-Free Man | 37 years - No Sugar S3E39

We are thrilled to introduce you to a man who’s been sugar-free for 37 years! Before it was a trend, before anyone was talking about it, Mike Collins was living it.

Known as The Original Sugar Free Man, Mike’s journey started in an unexpected place. After entering alcohol addiction in his teens, finally getting sober at 28, he picked up a copy of Sugar Blues by William Dufty, and everything changed. Four years later, sugar was gone for good. He even raised two kids sugar-free.

Since then, Mike has built some of the most trusted coaching resources in the sugar-free world. He’s the founder of SugarAddiction.com, host of the Quick Sugar Summit and the Type 2 Diabetes Summit, the Sugar Detox website, and is author of ‘The Last Resort Sugar Detox Guide’ and ‘The 30-Day Sugar Detox Challenge’. For the past 11 years, he’s helped tens of thousands of people break free from the grip of sugar through his 30-Day Sugar Detox Challenge, and well beyond.

In this episode, Mike gets into details most people never hear about, like how fructose is the largely unrecognized true driver of sugar damage, and how the fruit and vegetables we think are healthful have been hybridized specifically to maximize their fructose content.

He also tackles one of the most overlooked problems in sugar recovery: recidivism. Why do people keep falling back into sugar use? Could it be because the world still doesn’t recognize sugar as the psychoactive drug it truly is?

There is no quick fix. Real recovery means rebuilding neural pathways, and that result takes intention, effort, and the right experienced guidance.

Mike Collins is one of the most credible and experienced voices in the anti-sugar movement. Let him show you what lasting freedom actually looks like. Find his links below.
