Sir Niall Ferguson is the Milbank Family Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and Senior Faculty Fellow at the Belfer Center at Harvard. He holds a DPhil from Oxford University and has taught at Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, and Stanford. He is the author of 16 books including The Ascent of Money, Civilization: The West and the Rest, The Great Degeneration, Doom: The Politics of Catastrophe, and the two-volume biography Kissinger (volume two forthcoming). He was knighted in 2023. He writes regularly for The Free Press and Bloomberg.
