Satan Fell… So Why Is He Still in Heaven? | The War Before Genesis - EP 2

Satan fell from heaven — so why does the Book of Job show him standing before God? In Episode 2 of The War Before Genesis, Bennett examines one of the strangest problems in the biblical timeline of Satan: Lucifer appears to have been expelled from the mountain of God, yet Job and Zechariah still portray the adversary appearing in the divine court and accusing God's people. What if Satan's fall wasn't a single event? This episode explores a two-stage framework: an original rebellion that removed the adversary from his former position, followed by the Cross and the removal of his remaining role as the accuser. Revelation 12, Luke 10:18, Job, Zechariah 3, Isaiah 14, Ezekiel 28, John 12, and other passages are examined together to build the timeline. We examine: Why Satan can still appear before God in Job The meaning of Bene Elohim — the sons of God Satan's role as the accuser Zechariah's heavenly courtroom scene What Jesus meant by “I saw Satan fall like lightning” The war between Michael and the Dragon in Revelation 12 Whether Revelation 12 happened before Genesis, at the Cross, or remains future How the blood of Christ answers the accusations against humanity Why Satan is described as knowing that his time is short What spiritual warfare looks like after the decisive victory of Christ The episode's central argument is that the Cross removed the legal basis for Satan's accusations, with Revelation 12 portraying the accuser being cast down after that authority is broken. The War Before Genesis — Episode 2: The War in Heaven Episode 3 asks an even stranger question: Was there a world before Adam?
