When an unexpected kitchen encounter ended in Peters’ brutal murder, detectives were completely baffled by a crime committed behind bolted doors and shuttered windows, entirely unaware that the killer was still lying silently in the attic rafters directly over their heads. Even as neighbors whispered about Denver’s infamous "Ghost House," reporting phantom footsteps, flickering lights, and foul odors from the supposedly vacant building, the truth proved infinitely more terrifying than any supernatural tale.
