She Killed Her Kids Then Forced Another Child to Dismember a Body

Avante Devon, a 63-year-old North Carolina resident and former foster parent, has been arrested and charged with the murders of two of her adoptive children, Blake and London, who died from starvation, neglect, and severe abuse years apart. According to investigators and surviving victim testimony, the household was subjected to extreme torture, including confinement in dark rooms, extreme deprivation of food, and unsanitary bathroom conditions. The horrific ordeal widened when authorities discovered human remains in a backyard burn barrel, and surviving adoptive daughter Cherish Devon came forward, revealing that the defendant forced her to buy a saw, dismember her brother's remains, and watch them burn. Legal experts note that the prosecution has a formidable case supported by eyewitness accounts and physical evidence, leaving the defendant facing multiple severe charges, including first-degree murder, child abuse, and concealment of death, with little viable defense against her alleged systematic cruelty.
