Serial Killer in Michigan? Timberline High School Threat Investigation, Caleb Flynn Sentenced

Five unhoused men were found critically or fatally injured along a roughly one-mile stretch of the Lansing River Trail between October 2025 and August 2026, prompting police to investigate whether some of the deaths may be connected. Four of the men suffered devastating head or facial trauma, often during the overnight or early-morning hours, while the fifth, 22-year-old Daniel Lusk, was stabbed in a case where a suspect has been charged. With two victims found in the same East Oakland Avenue area and police acknowledging troubling similarities among the cases, investigators are now confronting the question hanging over Lansing: could someone be deliberately targeting vulnerable men along the River Trail?
