Killer Had No Idea Her Victim Survived & Turned Her In

Diara Hood orchestrated a complex honeypot scheme, luring Steven Carden and Thomas Smith to an apartment complex under false pretenses with the help of accomplices Jovian Lannis and Tyler Estrada. During the ambush, Steven Carden was fatally shot by Jovian Lannis, while Thomas Smith suffered severe head trauma from Tyler Estrada but miraculously survived to expose the plot. Police systematically dismantled the suspects' stories by confronting Diara Hood with her own incriminating Facebook photo holding the murder weapon and utilizing the surviving victim's detailed testimony. Ultimately, Diara Hood received a sentence of life without parole for felony murder, Jovian Lannis pleaded guilty to the same charge in exchange for life with the possibility of parole, and Tyler Estrada accepted a 25-year prison sentence for aggravated assault.
