Ancient Folklore vs. Biblical Reality: What Walks Among Us?

What if the unseen world contains more than the categories of angels and demons we grew up hearing about? In the final episode of the **Elohim Series**, Bennett Tanton explores one of the strangest accounts in Scripture: the woman at Endor who saw the dead prophet Samuel and described what she witnessed as *Elohim*. Why would the same Hebrew word associated with God and other spiritual beings be used in this encounter? That question takes us deep into the forgotten supernatural vocabulary of the Bible and across centuries of encounters, legends, and theological debate. **In this episode, we investigate:** - The Bene Elohim and the spiritual powers associated with the nations - The Nephilim, Watchers, and the possibility of a second incursion after the Flood - The jinn of Arabian tradition and the fair folk of Scotland and Ireland - Robert Kirk's mysterious *Secret Commonwealth* - Jacques Vallée's comparisons between fairy encounters and modern UFO reports - The Sheddim, Se'irim, Lilith, and Rephaim in ancient Hebrew texts - The Dead Sea Scrolls and the spirits described in the *Songs of the Sage* - The biblical account of Saul, Samuel, and the medium at Endor - Modern claims of alien abduction and non-human intelligence - Why Christians must test the spirits rather than seek contact with them - The resurrection, the redeemed children of God, and the final authority of Jesus Christ **This is not an argument that every unexplained encounter is supernatural.** We distinguish between what Scripture actually teaches, what ancient traditions claim, what witnesses report, and what remains speculation. The central question isn't simply what might exist beyond our understanding. It's who holds authority over everything seen and unseen. And Scripture points us to one answer: Jesus Christ. 📖 **Key Scripture:** Genesis 6:4; Deuteronomy 32:8–17; Psalm 82; Isaiah 24:21–22; 1 Samuel 28; Isaiah 34:14; Daniel 10; Luke 10; 1 Corinthians 8 and 10; Ephesians 6; 1 John 3:2; Romans 8; Revelation 3:21. 📚 **The Second Incursion: Fallen Beings, Giants, and What Walks Among Us Still** Explore Bennett's research into the Watchers, giants, territorial powers, and the connections between ancient supernatural traditions and modern encounters. https://bennetttantonbooks.com 🎙️ **Support Broadcasting Seeds on Patreon** Get ad-free episodes and exclusive content.
