Episode 250 Cris Borning: "From Thrills to Adventures: The Racing Enthusiast's Journey"

Join us for the life story of an enthusiast racer and product developer, Chris. As a child, he rode along with his older siblings on three-wheelers until he was old enough to ride by himself in the nearby riding park. When the park closed, Chris turned to racing as the next best way to satisfy his love for riding. However, the cold weather limited racing to only three to four months, except for arena cross races. Motocross became his preferred outdoor racing discipline.

Realizing that the sport was more expensive than expected, Chris needed a way to pay the bills. He found the solution by starting his own business. As the company grew in 2010, he shifted his focus away from racing and toward building his enterprise. Alongside the business, he also engaged in light fabrication work, which soon became another way of life. Eventually, Chris sold his powder coating business and moved forward.

In 2017, Chris transitioned to a new fabrication business, and everything was going well with new clients and positive growth until the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic and government assistance programs. These factors prompted Chris and his partner, Lisa, to close the fabrication business and pursue opportunities in the private sector. They began working for other companies, and in honor of their late son, they founded DBR Racing a consulting and manufacturing company.

Join us for an inspiring journey as we delve into Chris's life as a passionate racer, product developer, and entrepreneur. Don't forget to share and subscribe to our channel for more captivating stories."
