Information: Factitious Disorders and Munchausen by Proxy

Note: At this time, the available informational books known to me cover all factitious disorders and not just Factitious Disorder Imposed On Another (FDIA)/Munchuasen Syndrome by Proxy (MSBP), and will generally have a section of the book that is specifically about FDIA/MSBP. It is even more difficult to find books with sections that specifically address the healing process of and resources for the survivor. For experiences from the lens of the survivors, please see the "Survivor Accounts" section. Book suggestions are very much welcomed!

Artingstall, K. (2017). Munchausen by proxy and other factitious abuse: Practical and
forensic investigative techniques. CRC Press.
Note: Very much geared toward professionals and law enforcement rather than
survivors, families, or students.
Feldman, M. D. (2013). Playing sick?: Untangling the web of Münchausen syndrome,
Munchausen by proxy, malingering, and factitious disorder. Routledge.
Feldman, M. D., & Yates, G. (2018). Dying to be ill: True stories of medical deception.
Routledge. Note: Feldman writes with survivors in mind and describes some
impacts on survivors of medical abuse. If you have to choose one book off this
list, I recommend reading this book.
Parnell, T., & Day, D. (1997). Munchausen by proxy syndrome: Misunderstood child
abuse. SAGE Publications.
