Alexandra Durigan is a Woman’s Specialty Registered Nurse and pelvic health specialist. She is also a holistic womb guide and the founder of Origin Pelvic Care with a focus on sexuality and pleasure, reproductive health, and the birth continuum. Today, Alexandra shares how our bodies are meant to be soft and fluid, and how we can come back to a place of internal intimacy, restoring safety. She believes to come back into pleasure, sexual and reproductive health must be considered our whole health.

In our conversation, Alexandra asks the question, “Why are we not being cared for in the center of our bodies?” Alexandra explains that our womb tells us when we’re imbalanced and holding tension around our support system, we can’t allow the body to be taken care of in a tender, embodied space. Alexandra shares that when we’re in a deep parasympathetic space, we can find true agency.

Slower, intentional moments allow us to see how much possibility is in life. Healing is your birthright, and the first step forward is to, simply, live.
