It's small, but Laurence Fishburne is Perry White in DC and Bill Foster in Marvel.” Damon says “Re: your conversation on about actors active in both MCU and DCU, although Djimon Hounsou’s Korath was killed in GOTG, he is returning in Captain Marvel.  He is also in Aquaman.” David C from California writes in, “Is there a movie song (or soundtrack) that you like, that comes from a movie that you don’t?  Hold me, thrill me, kiss me, kill me by U2 came on the radio the other day. I bought that CD back in the day, and I loved that song — and today I can’t even recall if it came from the Clooney or the Kilmer Batman movie.    Being an old school hair metal fan, I really like the Last Action Hero soundtrack, but don’t care for that movie. I haven't seen it but I remember the trailer and thought that it was an interesting idea.” Gokul from New Zealand writes in “I've been following the antics of David Chen and the /FilmCast for years, and now that /FilmDaily is around, it has quickly become my favourite podcast to listen to during my morning commute.  Carrying on from your comment from last week about zombie children, I would like to mention one of Peter Jackson's early movies, Brain Dead, which features an awesome zombie baby.   Without getting into spoilers, there's a scene with the baby and a blender that is just spectacular and even a little bit cathartic (no I'm not sadistic or twisted, it makes sense if you watch the movie) :)  I hope you check the movie out.  Love your guys work, and if any of the /Film crew ever come back to New Zealand (sorry I missed your visit here HT), I would love to have a drink or two with you and talk movies” Anthony C writes in “Hey Peter! I have switched majors several times and I am starting to feel discouraged when it comes to finishing my degree. I am going for a degree in Environmental Health and Safety at the moment so that I can eventually make ends meet and be able to do something that brings me some kind of joy, but ultimately the degree I'm going for doesn't bring as much joy as watching films and reading/listening to people talk about films. It presents a fun mix between Greek and Christian mythologies while LotR stays mainly in Scandinavian and German mythos.   The reason why they are so often conflated is because of the new horseshit movies like Prince Caspian or Voyage of the Dawn Treader that randomly decided to have very Tolkien-esque look with walking trees and whatnot, and completely forgotten what made C.S.Lewis's world unique.  I hope that Netflix gives the books justice and we finally get "The Last Battle".” Leanne R., LA says “Just wanted to give a bit of love to the Chronicles of Narnia series. I wouldn't call myself a hard-core follower of the Narnia film franchise, but growing up my paternal family was extremely Christian and CS Lewis was one of the few approved fantasy authors I could read, so I owned all the Narnia books as a child (Harry Potter was frowned upon, so naturally I read all those books too). I also have distinct memories of going to Blockbuster and seeing DVDs of the 90s BBC adaptation of the Narnia series that covered almost all of the books and really fueled my desire to see an adaptation on the big-screen. While the 2005-2010 franchise only spanned 3/7 books and didn't really garner as much success as other Children's Fantasy films (read: HARRY POTTER), I think it at least proved that the hardcore Christian audiences would show up for it, so I'm excited to see if Netflix does justice to Lewis's work as well as lives up to the the fantasy elements in the film franchise adaptation.   My only caveat is, as this was originally produced by Buena Vista/Disney, would that maybe conflict with how Netflix produces their version? And most importantly, could they afford to have Liam Neeson reprise his role as Aslan??  Anyhow, I hope this brought some added insight to the question of whether any Narnia fans exist out there. I will raise my hand on that 🙋🏻‍♂️  As someone who grew up in Christian conservative culture in the south, Narnia was a pretty big deal at my house. Years later (I’m 28), there’s a lot of things about my upbringing that I don’t love anymore, but Narnia is one that still has a special place in my heart. I also do not love the movies, but grew up around the books, and have hope that Netflix can make something better out of the source material.   Furthermore! I think there are probably a lot of people in my same situation who are excited for this. Presumably, this will be family friendly, but even beyond that, the Christian elements of it will probably play well to Southerners and the Christian crowd in a way that Game of Thrones never has. Peter suggested there should be a zombie movie with baby zombies, James W wrote in “Closest thing I can think of to a zombie killer kids movie is this 2008 film The Children. I actually remember it being pretty fun.”Chris have you seen it and gives his opinion. Nicholas E from Chicago Heights, IL writes in “Hey guys, I was wondering which movies provoke a great emotional response for you. Whether it be something that makes you feel happy, sad, angry, etc. as long as it makes you feel something great. Keep up the good work, I’m a big fan of the show.”Peter is a sucker for crying in movies, E.T. Chris says  E.T. is a big one as well, and most Spielberg movies in general; and Lord of the Rings, specifically Fellowship of the Ring. HT cries over every movie that gives her hope, as well as transportative, bittersweet romances: A Little Princess, Bridge to Terabithia, Call Me By Your Name Brad: Movies with troubled or (almost) unrequited romance always pull at my heart strings. Eternal Sunshine. Sleeping with Other People. Like Crazy. Before Sunrise Trilogy. Andrew Haynes, from St Ives, Cambridgeshire UK writes in: “Hi Peter and friends,  Really enjoyed your discussion on physical vs digital media. I started out with VHS and even Betamax back in the day, then it was Laserdisc, DVD and now bluray 4k.  Whilst I'm resigned to the fact that one day physical media may die, I still think the picture and sound quality of bluray will always be better than digital download / streaming.  I'm also a fan of special features and commentary tracks. Also, a couple of years ago I started collecting Steelbook bluray editions which are often limited runs, have unique and exclusive artwork and usually do not lose their value.  Specialist companies such as Filmarena, Mantalab, Novamedia, Kimchidvd and some others also produce really great editions with art cards, lenticular covers, and other goodies.  Admittedly, some of these editions can be expensive, but they are definitely worth purchasing for your favourite films.  There is clear demand for these special editions too, as they usually sell out within hours of being released! Keep up the great work!” Brad -  I collect some, but more often than not I don’t like the artwork on most Steelbook releases as much as the normal cover art. But two that I have which I really like are Guardians of the Galaxy that looks like Peter Quill’s Walkman and Doctor Strange that looks like the Book of the Vishanti Chris – While I’m a huge fan of physical media, I don’t actually collect steelbooks.   Do any of you collect Steelbooks and what are the coolest ones you own?
