Catching Fish on a Difficult Fishery and a Dry Dropper Tip

Bill explains why a downstream presentation and a well-executed reach cast are essential on the Upper Delaware, and how fishing a nymph under a dry fly indicator lets anglers work both the surface and subsurface at once. He covers picking water with broken, turbulent current, adjusting leader length and fly patterns when fish go quiet, and refining casting technique with moves like the tuck cast and a high rod tip. Bill also stresses investing in a quality fly line and practicing casting for a few minutes each day to sharpen accuracy on demanding water.
