The tone in the courtroom shifted dramatically as Sgt. Yuri Bukhenik returned for cross-examination. No longer walking comfortably through his narrative with the prosecution, Bukhenik now faced aggressive questioning from Karen Read’s defense team—who wasted no time highlighting gaps, contradictions, and possible misconduct in the early hours of the investigation.
