Rodney Reed has been on death row awaiting execution after a jury convicted him guilty of the 1996 murder of Stacey Stites in Texas. New witnesses, including Stacey's cousin and coworker, have now backed up Rodney's assertion that they were aware of his and Stacey's intimate relationship.

4. Rodney's culpability is physiologically and scientifically impossible, according to renowned forensic pathologists. Semen obtained from Stacey's body, which was attributed to their consenting connection, was the prosecution's only forensic evidence linking Rodney to the killing. This was utilized by the prosecution to link him to the murder and disprove their consensual romantic relationship. However, the testimony that supported this notion has subsequently been recanted, casting doubt on the State's case.

5. Jimmy Fennell, Stacey's fiancé, was the leading suspect in the case for months following the murder. According to a video made by one of the police detectives, Jimmy was suspected of murdering Stacey and was motivated by her relationship with another guy.

6. Bastrop Sheriff's Officer Curtis Davis, Jimmy's best buddy at the time of the murder, has now revealed that Jimmy offered a contradictory story of where he was on the night of the murder. On the night Stacey was murdered, Jimmy had told his friend that he was out drinking. However, based on Dr. Michael Baden's amended evidence, he later indicated that he was with Stacey in the apartment they shared during what we now know was the real time of her death, contradicting his previous assertion. Jimmy declined to testify when asked to explain the discrepancy because his replies could further condemn him.

7. Two new witnesses have come forward and filed affidavits, adding to the growing body of evidence against Jimmy Fennell. An insurance salesperson said that Jimmy threatened to kill Stacey when she was applying for life insurance in these documents. The second witness was a Lee County Sheriff's Office Deputy at the time of the murder, to whom Jimmy made an incriminating statement about Stacey's body at her funeral.

8. Jimmy was sentenced to ten years in jail after committing a sex crime and kidnapping while on duty. Jimmy has a history of aggression toward women, according to law enforcement documents.

9. This was a racially sensitive situation. An all-white jury found Rodney, a Black man, guilty of murdering Stacey, a white lady. 10. Jimmy Fennell has made a confession that has come to light. In a meeting with Arthur Snow, a former member of the Aryan Brotherhood and Jimmy's prison buddy, Jimmy confessed to the murder of Stacey, saying, "I had to kill my n*****-loving fiancée."
