It was a strong victory despite the two late concessions away at Ipswich, as a six minute salvo fired Forest into an unassailable lead by half-time. Nikola Milenković's effort was supplemented by two goals by Anthony Elanga, while Jota Silva's late strike was sandwiched between two goals by the home team. It was another long night in the FA Cup, as the Reds played 120 mins and needed penalties to beat Ipswich Town. The home team will feel like the worthy winners, and once again all their efforts in the shoot-out were superbly slotted home. Ryan Yates had equalised George Hirst's header in regulation time, leading to the extra period, and Forest once again brought on some of the big guns to get over the line.
