A strong performance by the Reds at home to hapless West Ham was capped by a goal in stoppage time at the end of each half by Taiwo Awoniyi and Callum Hudson-Odoi respectively. Forest had much to be pleased about, and will only wish that they had scored the five or six goals that they threatened, with keeper Alphonse Areola the strongest player for the visitors. Annoyingly, frustratingly and disappointingly, Forest's poor home form continues, as despite fighting back twice, poor defending cost them three goals and Newcastle took all three points. The big talking point was the penalty shout when Martin Dubravka clearly made contact with Taiwo Awoniyi in the area, but the ref didn't give anything and VAR chose not to ask him to have a look.
