Chill rocks glass 2. Prep orange half-wheel + cherry 3. Measure and pour rye, lemon juice, and syrup into shaker 4. Fill with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into rocks glass. Add fresh ice to cocktail 5. Garnish with orange half-wheel and cherry and serve.
