Chapter 23 - In Which Passepartout's Nose Becomes Outrageously Long

Passepartout learns a lesson that honestly should not have needed learning at this point in the journey.

Chapter 22 finds him in a situation that a little money would have solved immediately — money he does not have — and Verne wrings every bit of comedy out of it that he possibly can. Then Chapter 23 has Passepartout's nose growing outrageously long, which is not literal but is somehow even better than if it were.
