Saturday Morning Stress Release: Your 4-4-6 Breath Reset

Saturday Morning Stress Release: Your 4-4-6 Breath Reset

Hey there, friend. I'm Julia, and I'm so glad you're here with me today. You know, it's early Saturday morning, and I'm guessing maybe you woke up with that familiar weight sitting on your chest. That thing where your mind's already three steps ahead, planning, worrying, running through all the what-ifs. Am I close? Yeah, I thought so. That's stress doing what it does best, and honestly, you're not alone in this moment. But here's the good news: we're going to spend the next few minutes together actually loosening its grip. So take a breath, get comfortable, and let's begin. Go ahead and settle into whatever position feels good for your body right now. Maybe you're sitting, maybe you're lying down. Doesn't matter. What matters is that you're here. Let your shoulders drop away from your ears. Notice if you're holding tension anywhere and just give yourself permission to soften. Now, let's start with something I call the Stress Release Breath. It's simple, but it works like magic. Breathe in through your nose for a count of four. Feel that cool air moving in, filling your lungs like you're filling a balloon slowly and steadily. Hold it there for four counts. Just pause. Notice that moment of stillness. Then, here's the important part, exhale through your mouth for six counts. Make it longer. Make it intentional. You're literally releasing the stress as you breathe out. Imagine it leaving your body like smoke drifting away. Let's do that together. In for four. Hold for four. Out for six. Again. In for four. Hold for four. Out for six. Beautiful. Keep that rhythm going on your own now. As you breathe, I want you to scan your body. Where does stress live in you? Is it in your jaw? Your shoulders? Your belly? Without judgment, just notice. With each exhale, imagine releasing tension from that spot. Your body knows how to relax; it just needs permission and a little practice. Keep breathing. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Longer exhales. That's it. You're safe. You're here. This moment is yours. One more round. In for four. Hold for four. Out for six. Wonderful. Now, here's what I want you to remember when you step back into your day: you have access to this breath anytime stress creeps back in. In your car, at your desk, waiting in line. Four, four, six. It's your little reset button. Thank you so much for spending this time with me today. Your commitment to your own peace matters. Please subscribe so we can do this together again, because you deserve to feel calm. I'm rooting for you. For great deals today, check out https://amzn.to/47ZqpWT
