The Sky Inside You: Your Tuesday Reset Button

The Sky Inside You: Your Tuesday Reset Button

Hey there, I'm Julia Cartwright, and I'm so glad you're here. You know, Tuesday morning in late September can feel like you're carrying the weight of the week even though it's barely started, right? That restless energy, the mental to-do list that won't quit. Well, you've come to exactly the right place. Today, we're going to practice something I call the "worry release," and I promise it's going to feel like setting down a bag you didn't even realize you were carrying. Let's settle in together. Find a comfortable seat, whether that's on a cushion, a chair, or even standing. Your spine can be tall without being rigid, like a willow tree that bends in the wind. Let your shoulders drop away from your ears. Good. Now, take a moment and just notice what you're feeling in this body right now. No judgment, just honest observation. Let's begin with three intentional breaths. Breathe in for a count of four, hold for four, and exhale for six. That longer exhale? That's the magic. It signals to your nervous system that you're safe. In through the nose, out through the mouth. One more time. Feel how your body is already starting to soften. Now here's where we get interesting. Think of your stress like clouds passing through an open sky. Your mind is the sky, vast and unchanging. The clouds are the thoughts, the worries, the tension. They're going to drift through, and that's perfectly okay. You're not trying to push them away or chase them down. You're simply observing them with the curiosity of someone watching the weather change. As you breathe naturally now, imagine each exhale creating a little gap in the clouds. You might visualize them thinning, drifting toward the horizon. Notice where you hold tension in your body. Your jaw? Your shoulders? Your belly? When you find it, breathe directly into that space. Not to force it away, but to say, "I see you, I acknowledge you, and I'm safe right now." Here's the thing about stress relief that nobody talks about: it's not about achieving some zen state where nothing bothers you. It's about creating just enough space between you and your worries so you can breathe. So you can choose your next move instead of reacting from a place of panic. As we close, carry this with you today. When stress creeps back in, and it will, just remember you have access to this sky inside you. Take three conscious breaths. That's it. That's your reset button. Thank you so much for joining me on Stress Relief today. I'm honored you spent this time taking care of yourself. Please subscribe so we can do this together again, because honestly, you're worth it. For great deals today, check out https://amzn.to/47ZqpWT
