How Caleb Flynn's Worship Career Gave Him the Perfect Mask

Before the murder charge, before the affair, before the 100,000 texts prosecutors read to a jury, there was a man with a microphone. Caleb Flynn appeared on American Idol Season 12, told the country he loved his wife Ashley more than anything, and spent the next eleven years leading worship at churches in South Carolina and Ohio.

Prosecutors say the man behind that persona was planning his wife's death. The defense says the public Caleb Flynn was the real one, and the private messages were just ugly talk to keep a girlfriend satisfied.
