Caleb Flynn's Phone Was Empty and He Had a Reason For It

Caleb Flynn's Phone Was Empty and He Had a Reason For It

The detective handed Caleb Flynn's phone back after scrolling through it and finding nothing. Not one message from his wife Ashley. Caleb had the explanation ready: he deletes texts to save storage. The jury now knows what prosecutors allege was actually on that phone.

In this interrogation breakdown with retired FBI behavioral expert Robin Dreeke, Tony plays the clips from the February 16 police interview that was played for the jury this week. Three clips, one lane: what Caleb Flynn brought into that room before anyone asked. The clean phone. The two strangers volunteered as suspects. The church invoked as a character reference — the same church where prosecutors allege Caleb had been carrying on an affair with a twenty-year-old worship singer.

When the detective asked about marital problems, Caleb Flynn said "none whatsoever." According to prosecutors, his phone allegedly held more than a hundred thousand messages with another woman. Prosecutors say those messages included one about being up until 4 a.m. thinking of ways to kill his wife. And one sent hours before this interview allegedly read: I choose you, I'm free, actions will come tomorrow.

Robin Dreeke breaks down the behavioral tells in each clip — the pre-built narrative, the unsolicited denials, and the difference between someone in shock and someone running a script.

Caleb Flynn has pleaded not guilty to all charges. He is presumed innocent.
