Michael Haddix is one of the nation’s most trusted and experienced business advisors for professional athletes. His passion for helping athletes build their careers beyond the playing field is the result of a lifetime immersed in sports and business. The son of a first-round NFL pick, Michael has had an intimate, personal view of the challenges and opportunities faced by active and retired athletes.

After graduating from Siena College -- where he starred for the basketball program and finished among the school’s all-time leaders in points and rebounds -- Michael received his MBA from Columbia university and began a successful career on Wall Street as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs and Lazard. He leveraged his banking experience to become a financial advisor for professional athletes at Octagon Sports, managing portfolios for some of the world’s biggest sports stars.

Today, Michael leads Empower3d, which provides athletes with the opportunity to connect with and learn from industry leaders across all facets of business. The goal is to provide athletes with unbiased advice and a network of experts to support the next chapter of their careers.

Edward Darrah, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and a Board Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors, joined the Temple Athletics staff as a Mental Health & Performance Counselor in November, 2018. With the appointment, Darrah joins Dr. Stephany Coakley, Sr. Associate AD for Mental Health, Wellness, and Performance, as the second full-time staff member in the department. Darrah, who earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Neumann University in 2009, also played Division III baseball during his tenure. Upon graduation, he completed an internship that focused on sport performance within a private practice in Bethlehem, Pa. Subsequently, Darrah attended La Salle University, graduating with a master’s in clinical counseling-psychology with a concentration in organizational consulting, in May, 2012. He completed his practicum at Amtrak within the company's Employee Assistant Program in New York City. His clinical internship was at Northeastern Health Services (NHS) and consisted of long-term counseling for individuals and families of Delaware County. In addition to his graduate work and clinical placements, Darrah worked as an assistant baseball coach at Arcadia University for two seasons. Darrah came to Temple with a robust background in mental health counseling and sport performance. Most notably, Darrah has owned and operated a private practice on the Main Line since 2015. Within his practice at Edward Darrah Counseling & Athlete Wellness, he has worked with high school, collegiate, and professional athletes, focusing on wellness and sport performance. Over the past three years, Darrah has provided athlete wellness and performance workshops and talks for the First Tee Foundation, AAU Baseball Teams and varsity teams on the Main Line. This past spring, he was invited to join as a panelist at the Northeast Atlantic Sport Psychology Conference at Temple University to discuss the topic of Athlete Wellness. Bethany Lang came to Chestnut Hill College as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Academic Success and Community Engagement prior to the 2019-2020 scholastic year. In previous appointments, Lang has served as a Tutorial Coordinator and Learning Specialist at Texas A&M University’s Nye Academic Center (August 2018 – May 2019) and as an Athletic Academic Specialist in Prairie A&M University’s Office of Athletic Compliance and Academic Services (July 2017 – August 2018). As the College’s Assistant Director of Athletics for Academic Success and Community Engagement, Lang is responsible for assisting Chestnut Hill College’s student-athletes in scheduling classes and maintaining academic eligibility, while serving as a faculty liaison to ensure proper procedures for class dismissal and student-athlete academic success. In addition to overseeing the College’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and membership with Chi Alpha Sigma. Lang graduated from Neumann University with a bachelor’s degree in sports and entertainment management in 2015. She complete three sport-related internships as an undergrad, serving as an Athletic Department Intern for the Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades in Media, Pennsylvania, a Season Ticketing Intern for the Philadelphia Eagles, and a Marketing Intern with the Reading Fightin’ Phils.

Chad is known as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and connector. He oversees business operations, investments, finance and administration at SeventySix Capital. Chad was awarded the 2018 Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and the 2018 Southern New Jersey Business People’s 40 Under 40. Bobby Jordan enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Seahawks men's basketball program after joining the team in June of 2019. Following his playing career at Drexel, Jordan become part of the Dragons coaching staff, first as an operations assistant for two years and then as assistant coach for three seasons. Jordan assisted head coach James “Bruiser” Flint in leading the Dragons to a 29-6 record as they won the 2010 CAA Regular Season Championship and an automatic bid to the NIT Quarterfinals. Working extensively with the Drexel guards, Jordan developed both a first-Team All -CAA selection and a CAA Rookie of The Year. Jordan also earned a reputation as a top recruiter for the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) program. Ranked as a top-five assistant coach in the CAA by NextupRecruits, Jordan played a major role in Drexel landing the CAA's top recruiting class in 2013 according to Hoopscoop. Jordan arrives on Grymes Hill following one season at the prestigious IMG Academy as head basketball coach. He led the Ascenders to a 26-4 record and saw four players sign with Division 1 schools, along with five others signing on to play college basketball. Prior to IMG; Jordan served as head coach at Philadelphia area prep school Girard College. He guided the Cavaliers to a 23-6 record and an appearance in the 2017 Penn-Jersey League Finals, as three of his players went onto sign with Division 1 schools.
