Episode 11: What Really Happens at Bohemian Grove?

Every July, in a 2,700-acre redwood forest in Monte Rio, California, some of the most powerful men in the world gather for two weeks of what is officially described as camping, theatre performances, and networking. Former presidents, Fortune 500 CEOs, generals, intelligence directors, and senior politicians attend. No women are allowed. No press is permitted. And at the opening ceremony, members gather around a 40-foot stone owl for a ritual called the Cremation of Care — a theatrical performance in which a mock human effigy is burned on an altar while robed figures chant and a voice announces the end of dull care.

In this episode of The Conspiracy Theory Analyst, we examine the Bohemian Grove — what is confirmed, what has been witnessed, and what the conspiracy theories surrounding the gathering actually claim. The Grove is not a rumour. It is a real place. The ritual is real. The attendee list, confirmed over decades, reads like a who's who of American power. Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Henry Kissinger, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Alan Greenspan, and hundreds of other leading figures in politics, finance, and military policy have attended.

We examine the 2000 infiltration of the Grove by Alex Jones, who filmed the Cremation of Care ritual and released the footage publicly, describing it as evidence of occult worship by the global elite. We examine what the ritual actually involves according to the Grove's own records, and the claims of those who believe the theatrical performance is cover for something more serious.

We examine the documented historical fact that the Manhattan Project — the US government's programme to develop the first nuclear weapon — was discussed and organised at Bohemian Grove gatherings in 1942. Real decisions of real consequence have been made in this forest, away from public scrutiny and democratic accountability.
