The list of figures who have been identified, at various times and by various communities, as the Antichrist or a significant precursor includes: Barack Obama, frequently cited in evangelical American communities due to a combination of his name's perceived resonance with "Antichrist" in certain transliterations, his speaking style, and his advocacy for global governance frameworks; Pope Francis, cited in certain Protestant and traditionalist Catholic communities as the False Prophet of Revelation; Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum; Henry Kissinger, whose death in 2023 was mourned by conspiracy communities who had used him as a Antichrist-adjacent figure for decades; and, in certain Islamic traditions, figures whose identity has shifted with geopolitics. Elon Musk has, more recently, been proposed by some communities.
